Shipowners and freezer vessels
If you are a shipowner company, membership of WFAS is achieved through certification of the vessel and its operations, in accordance with the standard’s regulations.
- Certification of compliance with the applicable standard.
- Inclusion in the register of certified entities.
- Access to branded materials for authorized use.
Processing and marketing companies
If you are a processing or marketing company, membership is achieved by complying with the Chain of Custody Manual to maintain the traceability of the certified product and prevent mixing or substitution.
For a product to carry the WFAS seal, there must be a chain of custody and the seal must be displayed with its corresponding code.
Submit your membership application indicating the type of entity and scope (vessel/center/activity).
The application is reviewed and the scope of the certification process is defined.
Implementation of requirements and collection of evidence (procedures, records, and controls).
Certification audit and resolution of non-conformities, if applicable.
The implementation process must be completed within a maximum period of 6 months from its start date.
